I am a proud graduate of Fairfield High School Class of 1992. I completed undergraduate studies at Miles College where I earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. I completed graduate studies at the University of Phoenix where I earned a master’s degree in business administration concentration in accounting.
My professional career began in the banking industry where my role centered around operations management. After 16 years in bank operations, I started work in local government where I have served in several roles including, Revenue Examiner, Cost Accountant, Senior Accountant, Principal Accountant, Chief Administrative Analyst, Budget Officer and currently serving as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
I embraced gaining political experience when I accepted the role of the Glen Oaks Neighborhood Association President. I was elected to serve as the Fairfield City Councilor for District 6. I serve as Chairman for the Planning and Zoning committee, and I serve on the finance and telecommunication committees.
My commitment to Fairfield runs deep—it's why I chose to invest in this community by purchasing my home right here in District 4.
My top priorities are as followed:
1. Increase property values
2. Economic Development
3. Support Strong families
I believe strong families are the foundation of a strong community. As the councilor for District 4, I pledge to support policies and programs that uplift families, create opportunity, and build a future where every generation can thrive.
I am an active member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. I am an active volunteer with the Omega Bridge Builders Foundation and the Omega Lamplighters Mentoring Program. Every other Thursday, you can find me at CJ Donald Middle School mentoring a group of our young scholars.
Currently, I serve as the current First Vice President of the Government Finance Officers Association of Alabama (GFOAA). As one of the board members for the Birmingham City Credit Union, we continue to show positive net income and maintain a healthy return on assets.
Our commitment to Fairfield is strong as steel. These are our core values that guide how we serve.
